After School Activities

With a pedagogical aim in mind, the school offers the students certain extra-curricular activities. The students who register, commit themselves to go regularly to these activities during the trimester.

Study 
There will be one hour from 2pm to 3pm to study and do homework in a quiet environment under a teacher's supervision.


theaters
This course is directed to children 7 years old and up (starting from CE1). Children have to commit to attend the course twice a week.

singing for little ones
An activity in french of discovery of music and choir initiation.

choir for older ones
A variety of french songs, canons, and polyfonies .

handicrafts

For children who like to construct objects and discover the art of mosaic, ceramic, frame construction, bench, mask, etc. Each "construction" is done in two sessions.

hip-hop

Hip-hop is a modern dance that favours the coordination of the body, incresing memory, concentration, sinchronisation and motricity. Through music and movement the dance offers a new way of expresion.

 

music
Initiation to music through the discovery of instruments, rythm and melody. Children will be familiarized with music using percussions, drums, bells, etc.

 

plastic arts
Three different units of activities will be offered for the 3 trimesters.

 

synchronized swimming
This activity is just for girls with a good swimming level. Synchronized swimming works on respiration,movement's synchronization.

 

Gym
This activity is given by a profesionnal PE teacher,, who teaches children how to walk on their hands, do a cartwheel, do the "bridge". Children will increase their flexibility, balance, coordination.

 

swimming
Our professor, Andres, teaches after-school classes to complete the ones given during the scholastic schedule. 3 levels are offered:

One class for MS and GS, one for CP, CE1 and CE2 and the last one for CM1, CM2.

 

Spanish
2 levels are offered starting form GS::

Beginners for newly arrived children in the country, or children with little or no Spanish knowledge.

Bilingual for children whose Spanish is their mother tongue. The aim is to reinforce the written and gramaticals skills as well as the reading.

 

English
3 levels are offered twice a week, starting from GS, to allow students to progress at their own rythm. Be carefull : the inscription is for 2 classes per week.
Level 1 for the youngest: oral teaching in play activity.
Level 2: the oral teaching is combined with grammatical bases.
Bilingual: starting from CE1, for children whose speaking level will be reinforced by focusing on gramatical, reading and writting excercises.


French
The school offers to kids of non French speaking families to develope

their knowledge of French outside the scholar context through a ludic activity.
